SR&ED Lunch + Learn
Hokei Kwong of Entax will lead us through a high level overview of the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program that is run and administered by the CRA. It is a joint federal/provincial government initiative that aims to promote scientific and technological advancements in Canada by incentivizing Canadian institutions and businesses to direct spending into experimental developments with inherent scientific/technological uncertainties that incur heightened financial risk. He will talk about SR&ED eligibility criteria from both technical and financial perspectives, and how businesses can best leverage the program to offset internal and product-oriented R&D costs. This talk is aimed at executive company stakeholders with limited awareness of the SR&ED program and how it might apply in a number of business contexts.
